Tim & Colleen Sheerer - Owners

La Cappella is owned by Tim and Colleen Sheerer who live locally in the Fox Chapel area. Born and raised in Fox Chapel, Tim spent 23 years living out of town, spending the last 15 years away from home working on Wall Street for Merrill Lynch. In 2002, he and Colleen pursued a lifelong dream of returning to Tim’s roots, moving back to Pittsburgh to be with family.

In 2004, the Sheerer’s opened their first restaurant, a franchise operation. In January of 2006, they branched out on their own with the opening of la Cappella. The restaurant name “la Cappella” was inspired by their love for the Fox Chapel area. The word “cappella” means “chapel” in Italian.

Whether it is the savory Chicken Marsala, succulent Chicken Tortellini  or the house favorite Lasagna—all of la Cappella’s dishes are made from scratch. Please stop in-and when you do-ask for Tim or Colleen!
