What Is Reiki:

What will Reiki feel like to me?

Many describe a warm tingly sensation in the area that Reiki is being applied to.  Most all describe as state of deep relaxation. The breath slows down and people describe an overwhelming state of peace and wellness.

Is it possible for Reiki to cause harm or make a situation worse?

No, because Reiki is divinely intelligent and all loving in nature, it can do no harm.

Will I absorb the Reiki practitioner's energy?

No. The Reiki practitioner is purely a channel for the energy to come through to you.  The Reiki practitioner can tap into a limitless supply of Reiki energy but does not create it. Therefore, it is not coming from them.

How is Reiki taught?

Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but rather is "transferred" to the student through an "attunement" given by a Reiki Master (teacher).  This attunement allows the practitioner ti tap into an unlimited supply of the "life force energy", which they can use to improve the own and others health and quality of life.

Reiki does not depend on the practitioner's intellectual or spiritual capacity or state of development.  There us no body of esoteric knowledge to be mastered.  Once a practitioner is attuned, the healing energy just flows through her/his hands (when they are being used for healing).

There are three (3) levels of Reiki:

  1. Level one (1) allows the practitioner to heal themselves and others, opening up the palms to channel Reiki energy; and
  2. Level two (2) allows the practitioner to heal from a distance, transcending time and space. The practitioner is also given use of three (3) Reiki symbols, which enhance and distance Reiki possible; and
  3. Level three (3) is the Master of teacher level. In this level, a Master learns the 4th Reiki symbol and learns how to pass Reiki Attunements and teach others the art of Reiki.

Can Reiki heal physical ailments?

Though many miraculous stories have been reported, Reiki is not a substitute for seeking medical help from a Medical Doctor.  Though Reiki helps as a supplement healing practice for most every condition, it does not claim to heal physical ailments and cannot replace traditional medicine!
