Yoga Sessions

My practice focus's is on the discipline of Hatha & Yin Yoga.

Yoga is the science of right living and, as such, is intended to be incorporated in daily life. It works on all aspects of the person: the physical, vital, mental, emotional, psychic, and spiritual. On a more practical level, yoga is a means of balancing and harmonizing the body, mind and emotions. Yoga is not a religion; it is a science to attain peace, enlightenment and liberation. Any person of any faith or religion can practice yoga. The word yoga comes from the word “yoke” to “join together” or “to unite”. Yoga is the union of the individual’s unit consciousness with the infinite consciousness.



The science of yoga begins to work on the outermost aspects of the personality, the physical body, which for most people is a practical and familiar starting point. When imbalance is experienced at this level, the organs, muscles and nerves no longer function in harmony, rather they act in opposition to each other. For example: the endocrine system might become irregular and the efficiency of the nervous system may decrease to such an extent that a disease will manifest.

The effects of yogic practices during and after performance are currently being researched by scientists and doctors around the world. Their results show that asana (posture), pranayama (breath control), mudras (gestures) and bandhas (lock) are a potent means to restore and maintain physical and mental health.

A Little Bit About Hatha & Yin Yoga



Hatha yoga is a popular yoga choice in today's fitness community. Groups and individuals use this ancient, classic yoga style to get fit and encourage a healthy mind-body connection. Knowing more about Hatha yoga will help fitness beginners see more about how this traditional yoga practice informs newer yoga styles and brings a lot of authentic principles to a yoga routine.



Yin Yoga & Reiki



Reiki is spiritually guided life energy which helps to harmonize the body, mind and spirit. Yin Yoga focuses on deep stretching of the connective tissues throughout the body in order to create balance in the body, while inducing a meditative state. In this session I will combine these two amazing practices!  A led Yin Yoga sequence while sharing Reiki healing energy with you. The combination of these powerful healing practices will leave you feeling relaxed, peaceful, and totally "de"-stressed!
